Supply Chain Development

As part of a Supply Chain Transformation assignment for a corporation with global manufacturing facilities, HMS was responsible for management and development of the site Demand and Supply Planning and Materials Management function and I held position of Project Lead for on-site development of Warehousing processes, Inventory reduction and SOP documenting.

 

Process mapping was a key tool in understanding both the physical movement of resources and information flow throughout the facility, at holistic and detail level. The process maps provided a visualisation and were pivotal in communicating areas of potential change as well as in the training of new process.

 

Interim planning solutions and industry standard best practices were implemented to support smooth migration to SAP ERP solution. The project resulted in an Inventory reduction of €3m
