As part of a Supply Chain Transformation assignment for a corporation with global manufacturing facilities, HMS was responsible for management and development of the site Demand and Supply Planning and Materials Management function and I held position of Project Lead for on-site development of Warehousing processes, Inventory reduction and SOP documenting. Master Production Scheduling
To create a weekly view of capacity utilisation, warehouse space and material requirements over a mid-term horizon HMS developed and implemented an excel based MPS solution that provided the user with detail information to manage the SKU portfolio within the business agreed inventory policy and capacity availability. Forecasting Development
With a background of almost 5 years managing the Demand Planning function for a large, branded food manufacturer and providing customer facing Supply Chain support for the sales team, HMS was contracted to source and project manage the implementation of a software package to generate customer/item level demand over a rolling 104 week horizon delivering agreed business forecast accuracy targets. Production Line Sequencing
As part of a project to proactively manage conformance to plan and support the continuous improvement process, dynamic excel based production line sequence plans were implemented to identify operational variances at SKU level and to automatically generate Management Reports. Read more:
S&OP Development
After successfully promoting the benefits of a structured S&OP process and sourcing a software solution to manage an annual £30m trade promotions budget HMS was appointed as Steering Committee member holding responsibility for the Demand and Supply Planning functions of a large vertically integrated FMCG company.
